Sesé maintains its trend of profitable and sustainable growth, and now looks to the future with a more solid and efficient structure. In 2024, the company managed to increase its operating profit (EBITDA) by 35% compared to 2023, reaching a figure of 58.4 million euros. Its turnover also grew by 6% to 1.007 billion euros[1], surpassing for the second time in its history the one billion euro barrier.
Sesé has shown in 2024 a positive performance based on the efficiency of its operations, especially in the Logistics, Air and Sea Transport business lines and the Brazil region; the continuous innovation in its processes and the commitment and excellence of its teams. The figures obtained last year consolidate the positive trend of the company in recent years, which has managed to increase its profitability over sales ratio by 1.2 percentage points, from 4.6% to 5.8%, within a challenging economic environment and thanks to the implementation of an efficiency and competitiveness plan to prepare the company for the market context.
“Sesé is becoming more competitive, thanks to the commitment and excellence of our teams. We work every day with determination, under the firm conviction that people, continuous innovation and the generation of a positive impact on our environment are our main value proposition for the market. In 2025, our 60th anniversary, we will continue to strengthen our commitment to combining the best professionals and technologies to achieve our purpose: to transform the supply chain of the future”. said Alfonso Sesé, Chairman of Sesé.
The company now faces the future with new global business, achieved in 2024, worth 450 million euros for the next three years, which allows it to look to the future with strength and a clear commitment to diversification and internationalisation.
Sergio Treviño, CEO of Sesé has indicated that “Sesé demonstrated great flexibility in 2024. The company was able to adapt to market circumstances and take on strategic projects in a challenging context, requiring the implementation of efficiency plans to increase our profitability and continue on the path of sustained growth. Our goal is to further improve our long-term competitiveness, strengthen our business model and, of course, maintain our strong commitment to our customers.”
Commitment to generating a positive impact
Sesé conceives the generation of positive impact as a responsibility towards its customers and its environment, as well as a fundamental axis of its activity, that defines it and differentiates it in the market. To enhance this value proposition, the company continuously invests in its strategic pillars:
People
People are the fundamental basis of Sesé and the reason behind the company’s exponential growth. This evolution has only been possible thanks to its commitment to the success of each project, the generation of the highest levels of trust with our customers, as well as passion and responsibility in each action and the flexibility to respond to any situation. With the conviction of fostering talent and the continuous training of teams, the company delivered more than 100,000 hours of training in 2024.
Innovation and technology
The development and implementation of technological tools is a fundamental lever for increasing the efficiency of processes, making them more sustainable while maximising the company’s global competitiveness. In 2024, Sesé earmarked more than 12 million euros for innovation and the development of digital solutions to enable better planning, optimisation, traceability, control and customisation of the different processes in the supply chain.
Environmental sustainability and social commitment
In order to move towards a more efficient, sustainable and competitive supply chain, Sesé is committed to combining the most appropriate technologies for each need and stage of the process. In 2024, the company significantly increased its commitment to renewable fuels as a way to reduce emissions. Currently, 25% of its fleet already uses this type of fuel and it estimates to reach a consumption of 20 million litres in 2026, four times more than the previous year. In addition, it has electric solutions for short-haul journeys and a fleet that is completely renewed every four years. Moreover, 100% of the electricity it uses in Spain is already of renewable origin.
From the point of view of social contribution, the company has continued to work for labour integration and the creation of inclusive work environments for people with special needs through the Sesé Foundation. The company has four special employment centres and has promoted the integration of a large number of people with special needs into its team in Spain. In addition, the Sesé Foundation Training Centre launched the first edition of its Higher Vocational Training Degree in Logistics and Transport. In total, more than 4,200 students have already participated in the centre’s training programmes.
